Popular Post Gratefuled Posted March 16, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 16, 2016 Ok, like I said before. My now stepson was only 10 years old when I arrived. I'm sure he felt that I was taking his mother's love from him but he has since realised that is not true. Anyway, in his own way of communicating he would try to be polite so as not to offend me. I'll give you just a few examples. First, when him and I were alone, he said he was still hungry after eating. I said that he could have some of my linguini. To this he answered," I'm full". which actually meant, "no thanks". Another time I grabbed a glass to drink some water. He saw me and said, "that's my glass" which meant,"Do not use it." Ok, another time I asked him if he wanted to play Monopoly. He answered, "later". Which I found out meant "NO". I taught him how to make pancakes so one morning I asked him if he wanted to make pancakes. He answered, "later". I waited and waited and decided to make them myself. I had forgot what "later" meant to him. Oh, one final example. I ate the last apple to which he said, " you like my apple?" I didn't know he was saving it. To me, I have to laugh now and I say the same things to him when he asks me something. I'll say "later". We get along very well now. I love this kid.
