Sir Tom Jones forced to cancel Philippines gig after close family member falls seriously ill

SIR Tom Jones has had to cancel a concert planned to take place in the Philippines tonight after an immediate family member was taken seriously ill.

The veteran star was due to perform at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila but pulled out just hours before.

The 75-year-old singer was said to be “devastated” at calling off the gig and a statement from his management read: “Due to serious illness in his immediate family, Tom Jones has regretfully had to cancel his performance in Manila this evening.
