mogo51 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Another reason why I enjoy the Philippines and the people most of the time. SO and I were out walking this morning along the waterfront before it got too hot. On way back we stopped 7/11to get a coffee. There were 3 nurses (I think) getting coffee also and the song 'Superman' came on, a recent hit. These three young women broke into song which I am quite used to as SO is always singing at home. They were wonderful and harmonised so well together, I just stood there and listened to them and gave them an applause when they finished. Filipinos, especially the women, seem to always be happy and wanting to sing. In the bus down from Bacolod SO and lady at the back were quietly singing away to the music. Such a pleasure to listen to and helps make the day a more beautiful experience.
Queenie O. Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 That is true Mogo51, Filipinos' can be very musical and love to sing. Maybe a little too much! Funny--I thought that this thread was going to be about real bird "songbirds". We have a lot of those right in our yard and neighborhood too!

I love it when my wife will sing along with the radio or just on her own.

Pretty sure the actual song title is, one call away unless you mean a different song? Nice song it is at that.

I asked her when the next show started because I wanted to catch it from the start and not walk in in the middle again. She was all smiles.
RBM Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Agree providing its not karaoke and no alcohol involved. For me having a quiet beer and the locals already slightly pi.....and decide to start up its not pleasant at all. As Mogo explained nice.
