Many topics create a debate which is a digression from the topic under discussion. Those disputes are sometimes worthy of discussion on their own merits. The bigger topic and those engaged in it don't need to see the other issue but some may wish to participate in the side discussion.

One does not attempt sarcasm. A statement is either sarcastic or it is not. The variable is how the statement is perceived by the reader. A reader who takes offense without knowing the context then sends the thread off topic. They further, either implicitly or explicitly denigrate the author of the statement.

I disagree.  There may be 100 readers who perceive the sarcasm while another 10 do not.  So is it sarcastic or not?  An emoticon for sarcasm clarifies it for the latter 10.

Yes, as nuance isn't transmitted via text an indication is the safe bet. However,  context should be considered as well. Especially if one is going to take offense, a lot of anger can be avoided by considering the previous thread. I stand by my statement that sarcasm is in the writers intent and not in the readers perception.

Maybe you could simplify  the above statement.

If one does not agree with the others statement how does that become sarcasim?

Disagreement and sarcasm are not related. I'm unaware of an example for your question. I haven't mentioned any disagreement over facts or opinions. I'm merely saying that if a person uses sarcasm, it is not for the reader to say that it is not sarcasm. Writer's intent rules, not reader's missing the point.

This is for side item discussions from other topics, related tangentially as it is an offshoot of Philippines topics.  If not qualified then no harm in deleting it.
