Some things never change....

Went to visit the double cleft lip / palate girl who had surgery 2 years ago. She healed well and other than the wide set eyes, looks rather normal. Normal for a girl who resides in a refrigerator.... Now her brother though, has a rather acute scalp infection, but that has not curbed his appetite. Anyone want to cuddle and tell him a bed time story? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

But these poor people simply do not complain! That accept and adapt and move on with their life. It is us 1st worlders who are shocked and what to fix things.... I shall return later with some anti fungal ointment and fix the kid... again.

Locally, after 3 years, the government has released some of the emergency funds for Yolanda storm victims, which killed 7500+++ and displaced thousands. Some families got 8,000p, some 10,000p and a few got more if they knew someone who knew someone. Huge favoritism issues with local barangay officials trying to select those who get and do not get any assistance.

This family of the cleft lip girl, 7 kids.... got 8,000p. So it is coke and snacks for everyone! Buy some rice and party like it is 1999.
