i started doing the family geneology some time ago and traced it as far back as 1772 ,at the time i kept running into work that had been done by an American ,eventually i managed to get in touch with him and he had done a lot more than i had , we are distant cousins and the stuff that i found was very interesting ,there was as many of my relatives in the States and Canada as there was in Scotland, anyhow i digress in WW1 we lost 7 between 3 armys ,UK,USA and Canadian ,in WW2 we managed to track down relatives all descendants of the same people from 1772 in UK,USA,Canada,Austraila and New Zealand armed forces.

You beat my family by two armed forces, well in WW1.

Ive done quite a bit of research on WW1 for the geneology stuff ,last April i managed to track down the field in France where my great Uncle was killed ,we also lost one at Rimy Ridge ,one died of wounds received and four others whom i have not tracked down their final resting place ,there are no known graves for any of them

May I quote the famous poem in memory of your fallen relatives?

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Some dual citizens are trusted by both countries.

BUT others are not trusted (by at least one of the countries).
