Scratching Head.jpg PROBLEMS!

I am not sure how I would be able to know exactly what a construction crew in Manila was using or doing everyday if I was in the States (like the OP). Or, I have no idea how to daily manage a construction crew in the Philippines from another country.

for example, a concrete hollow block wall around the front yard would cost (if my memory is correct) at least 3,000 pesos a meter

Is that 2 m high? And finished both sides? I need a 20 m wall replaced.

That was the price for a 2 m high a couple years ago and I cannot say if it has gone up.  If you wanted a 3m high the price goes to about 5K a running meter and I know that is finished on one side but I do not recall if it is finished both sides.

way to expensive!!!

The stainess design rushed us cP220k which included the 5m sliding gate in between what you see in the pics.

The wall all in which is around 200 linear metres was cP250k

So I think you are being quoted WAY to much!!!

Sounds like you got a good deal.  That was the going rate 10 years ago (1,000 pesos per meter).   When and where did you get that wall built for that price.  Please share.  I don't need it right now but I would surely consider it for the future if this price could be obtained at a contractor near me :SugarwareZ-005:

Maybe as we are in the province......pangasinan.  Finished 2-3 months ago, we managed it, all be it remotely with BIL daily updates and pictures, 2 so called masons and 1 labour, 450 and 300 respectively per day.

I have a friend building in Bacolod and his material prices in some instances are 50% higher than mine in the North.

Good luck and my recommendation, manage it your self.

What kept our prices down and in check was this man, Rudy Emma's father he lived on site and he brought everything when the builder wanted them, he paid the builders who lived on site too and even cooked for them, all in all we are very happy with the cost and the build.

Exactly my point. If you or a person you trust that is smart enough not to be scammed is not onsite, well the patients could end up running the asylum...

Hey, Max

Go with a rehab fence.  My gate at my place is a rehab sliding gate.  Forget about the Jones in your neighborhood
