Tropical storm Basyang is currently predicted to pass over Dumaguete on the morning of Feb 14th.  If it goes as planned I would expect our "Valentine's Kiss" to be a dump of rain, maybe a little flooding, and cancellation of a few romantic plans from some of our members and friends :shock_40_anim_gif:

I would not expect anything terribly alarming expect to plan for the usual flooding that Dumaguete gets a couple times a year.

According to this site,

We are expected to get 5.53 inches of rain over the next 24 hours, so guys be sure to tell your ladies.  It is important that they watch and learn how much 5.53 inches really is.

My sister in law's house is ruined. Apparently they opened some floodgates or something because it got too high and the water rose fast and flooded everything inside the house in minutes. Cantilan Surigao Del Sur. They blame miners for changing the way the land drains. Never happened before they say.
