In Siquijor Town we did visited some friends. Going to their location was not an issue. Just getting a tricycle in the town. But going back to the town was nearly impossible if relying on public transportations. Probably one to two tricycles was coming there in a half day. We had to ride the private motorcycles of the friends to get back to town.

This aspect many people are forgetting even if they have own car. How to get from or to the house with public transportation in emergencies or at the time the car is in service, repair or maintenance.

I have to laugh as human nature says its always hot when it feels like it but in this example what about the rain and the rest of the year when it's a nice day with breeze.

That is why we have a Yamaha Mio as well as the Avanza, and to be honest the motorcycle probably gets used just as much as the car.

 

To be honest if people can afford a car, then they can probably afford a motorbike as well (either that or just get 2 motorbikes).

Agree, but in emergency cases a second driver with a car or reliable public transportation is as a fall back layer required. If someone have a car should teach his/her partner how to drive if they do not know it already.

Seen a few of these Tuk Tuks, long nose driving them in Dumaguete. Thinking of buying the wife one, easier to park up though not very secure.

Thanks, after I wrote it I started thinking she would probably have no trouble finding a guy to push her backwards if needed.  But since it has reverse the problem solved.
