After spending the past two months here, I have found the Filipina's here are so much more approachable compared to the women back home. In the US, I wouldn't even think of walking up to a beautiful girl and striking up a conversation - but here, whether it is in the malls, grocery store or gym, I have initiated conversation, exchanged phone numbers and dated 11 Filipina's - all within a span of 2 months. These women range from 21 to 28 years of age and reside in various locations from BFG city, Dumaguete, Bohol and Subic. What worked for me was to learn a few Tagalog phrases like "Nakakapag salita ka ba ng Ingles?". And I have screwed up my Tagalog many times, and it works even better when I do. So much fun... I think the difference on this trip is that I am now retired and much more time to spend here. Coming from a mindset of abundant time, i'm not rushed or pressured to find anyone and I tend to meet more women (I don't really understand why things happen this way). bows00 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Posted March 25, 2018 There have been several YouTube Vlogs where they stated that the Filipino culture does not really date, but jump right into serious committed relationships and that Filipina's frown at the idea that you are seeing other Filipina's. Based on my experiences, I don't necessarily agree with this theme. Sure, there are some Filipina's that text you more often, and even some that use the term "love you" way too early in the game - but I think this is due to their immaturity and lack of life experiences - and this is why I have decided to stick to Filipina's at least 25 and older. All the Filipina's at this age range seem to understand the dating scene, or dating as seen from the perspective of a US expat. The winds coming from the west were awesome! Very consistent speed and direction with strong white caps conditions and no "holes". I wish I had my Hobie 16 out there flying....... Regarding Bow's conclusion to date only Filipinas that are a little bit older, I think it's a wise endeavor to maintain your sanity in a "target enriched" environment.
