TimL Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) Depends upon what I’m doing and what network I am on If I go from Cebu to Makati and stay on PLDT Get around a 14 ms ping time, 70 and 90 Mbps download and a 60 to 75 Mbps upload Obviously things get a little worse the further away from PLDT you get. Speed back to the US are somewhere in the 40 to 70 or 80 Mbps range depending on what time of day and whether or not I’m using VPN. All told, it’s rocking pretty good. Certainly the best speeds I’ve had since I’ve been here. Edited January 7, 2019 by TimL

Jollygoodfellow Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Back to the unit I manage with Fibre. Went down again and always when there are guests. Took about 3 days to get them to come and this time a new modem was the order of the day. Working as of now at around 20mb.

And I made sure to get the techs number that installed in case I have any outage issues. Can’t hurt because I can’t seem to ever get a hold of PLDT themselves. TimL Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) That was from the day of install. Haven’t seen numbers quite that good since. Edited January 7, 2019 by TimL

That’s what I thought also but the rep messaged and asked if I want 200. So of course I said hell yes!!! Hahaha
OnMyWay Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 My PLDT Fibr via Subictel in Subic Bay Freeport continues to outperform what I am paying for, which is 50 mbps. What is strange is that some neighbors on the West side of our neighborhood say is sucks there. Makati and Dallas
graham59 Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Our PLDT fibre is at the moment still ending in a coil slung over a tree branch roughly opposite our house. I live in hope, and meanwhile will be grateful for the 1mb or so , phone signal received by the antenna in my garden, atop the 35ft bamboo pole.
