My Wife has just text me that she has had a mail from her boss that August 21,22 & 27 are non working Holidays so Government offices will be closed, So my friends if you need to do an Extension, Pay a Bill, visit a bank best make a note of the dates. As usual I guess, Retail outlets will be open

Apparently the 21st  is Aquino day so fixed, the 21 & 22 are feast of Eid? and may run over to the 23 in places of High concentration of Muslims such as Areas of Mindanao so best to check things

the 27th is Heroes day so that is fixed

Have a Great Week my Friendly Heroes

It seems like every week the students are out of school for at least one day.  I tell the wife that this is the schools way of preparing them for the workforce. :hystery:

Here in Davao, today and Monday the 20th have been declared holidays for our Kidayawan festival. The 21st is a holiday for Aquino Day and I'd heard a combined Eid al-Adha. I thought I'd heard that the 22nd was no longer a holiday. Of course, it could always be a local one.

Heck, I'm retired so every day is a holiday! Just never a bank holiday because the Bank of Honeyplease ATM is always open!  :bonk:

Triple that for local events for special days off. This is one of the many things killing Philippines economy International company's find production hours cut short by non working holidays.

Sandwich days are on of their favourites. We were told Tuesday and Wednesday are holidays so Monday, being after Sunday is a sandwich day so we (the school)will be closed.
