Well, work starts on the land I bought next door, starting with clearing and levelling then the perimeter wall, plan a Japanese style garden with koi pond, will keep updating the pictures, land is half what you see, @273sqm

When I lived in an area where there are a lot of birds I noticed everyone in the area with fish ponds had nets over top.  It did not dawn on me why they would do that until I started a tilapia pond.  Even though the pond was 3 feet deep, the birds got every fish, a few each day.  Just a word of caution depending where you live.

What Dave says is true my family has a net protecting their koi.

I asked my mother in law about mosquitoes she said they “sprayed”. Not sure what.

I think that means the fish spit at them knocking them from the air so they can eat them when they fall in the water.

 Remember to Keep those Fruit trees well Clipped after harvesting. If not they can cause a few height problems;

Day 3, columns going in for 16sqm 1 bed maids quarters fully self contained, the wood surround is the level we need to raise the garden, been hampered all week with heavy rain

Normally for good luck, they chuck coins in the footings. That's what the guys building my pad do.
