Just too add, since moving here permanently 2 years ago, my Knees have felt better, back in England I could hardly walk, also my shoulder feels better.

Yes it`s the same for me my knees are much better and  arthritis in my neck does not give me problems.

I constantly have diarrhea in the Philippines. Either liquid or soft and sticky stools. But that is much preferred to constipation!

You should look at your diet.

When using an air-conditioner, clean the filter or replace once a month. The entrapped dust becomes moldy during the time periods when the unit is turned off because of high humidity. An effective replacement is a couple of large electric dehumidifiers in the room. They suck the moisture from the air and the room feels cool while the room and outdoor temperatures are nearly the same.

I have found over the years both here in Spain that technology we use today tends to lessen our immune system to a degree. A/C for example does not let us sweat out the bad bits, removing too much moisture leads us to breath in dust that is always around yet a little moisture in the air sees to that, We need that airborne bacteria to get our immune system to work properly in Moderation of course. such is MHO

If you have health issues, prior to travel to the Philippines for an extended stay, I suggested consulting a medical doctor practicing in the field of tropical medicine.
