It's not too bad. You can learn to dance while waiting in jail. :)

Soul crushing attempt at finding a positive. Bravo.

I suspect most Filipino cells would not have room for dancing :)

I was told that you can get married in prison very quickly and you don`t even need to attend a seminar you also only need 1 ring.

My personal experience was to visit an aussie in Torledo prison some years ago. Was told he was falsely accussed of sexual assault, as living in Cebu I popped over with some groceries.

First was strip search before being  allowed entrance, the shopping had to be left with a guard to be handed over after checking, was not given when I left.

The conditions were crowded an appalling to say the least, he complained of being beaten for no reason, further his story was the housekeeper set him up. Aussie embassy were of little help, my thoughts were mixed as to his guilt or innocence.

Heard he was released after some months, Prison is one place we must all steer well clear of. Piss of the wrong girl and there's a chance you may just experience this.

I work think becoming ill would be a big danger as you would be totally reliant on family buying and supplying any medication and other medical needs, no different to being in hospital.

Not sure about jail but I visited the BI detention center. Absolute dump as expected, have to bribe the guards if you want medical attention without waiting weeks.

Koreans run the place, some of them deliberately get fake cases filed against them here so they don't get deported as they'll be going to jail for 20 years once back in Korea. They can pay about 20k pesos per month to get their own little air conditioned room. Have to pay the guards if you want any gadgets (phone, laptop etc).
