It depends on what kind of hotel resort you require as in standards etc.

We often stay at the Bethal on the sea front, not the cheapest but great location.

Have you tried AirBnb?  The Hassaram Courtyard was excellent.  They have scooter rental there also.

Nicanor, Essencia, CL suites, Check inn, those are in the town center and are all you are asking. these are the ones I have dealt with for friends. You can go a little further out and get a resort if you wanted to, but then you have transport to think of.

Steve over the years I have stayed at many different hotels in Dumaguete. I IMHO without doubt the best is Henia hotel, if you persist with Ogoda at times its crazy cheap.

For a budget hotel in Perdices with great u der ground parking the Nova is OK, cheap and has wi fi hot shower large rooms but bit dated.

Hi Steve

We stayed at the Nicanor last trip,  pretty central and staff very nice ( Room only they don't do food )

The restaurant next door is good, but lots of places to eat nearby
