It’s a lesson to us all, but and there is a but i know for sure I would have nipped this in the first few weeks of this so called illness, because I would have been on the first plane out there to care and to hopefully make her well, and I am convinced many members would have done the same.

The trouble is , we don’t really know what happened , all we have is one sided and yes it’s a bad story and you would not wish it on your worst enemy, “ ok there is one I would wish it on”, but that’s another story.

Once  something don’t sound right to others it usually turns out to be fishy and then you either sort it out at source and then it’s done or you just feed the problem, the money that was sent over is a crazy amount all I can go on is what would I do.

And that would have been on the first plane there .

Right from the very start I wondered why he had married her and hadn't lived with her for several years. Very strange.

Old man falls for a much younger lady and sends massive amounts of money when he has only seen her for a couple of weeks well what could go wrong.

Younger people have access to computers and have found an easy way to make money and he fell for it.I have seen this a few times here. As was written I would have been here much earlier when those amounts were being asked for.

Exactly.  

It's not like he had just met her - they had been together for some time and he had visited her here as well.  So, he really was taken to the cleaners and the internet knows it.  Then, there is the financial loss which I doubt he can afford.  Then, the child whom he thinks of as his own.  All in all, a sad tale and a cautionary one at that.
