Main reason I love it here, everyone is moody in the UK. Get eye contact with a bloke here on a Saturday night and he'll smile at you, in the UK you'll end up having a fight:biggrin:

That's depends where you live........

Joke coming....What's the first question asked at a quiz night in Liverpool.

answer....."Who are you looking at!"

Not true to say that Liverpool deserves that reputation, as a Scouser myself, I find Liverpool more friendly than a lot of towns and cities in UK.

That’s another moan from us brits, we expect everyone to speak the queens language, even though we can’t speak it ourselves properly.:whistling:

Quoting Rex Harrison's song from My Fair Lady,  "Why can't the English learn to speak?"

Of course, in his market song he does utter an aside..... 'The Americans haven't spoken English in years." :hystery:

(picture a laughing emoji here.... *   because for some reason my screen is no longer giving me the emoji options that we all like to use.)

I worked in 3 sites in the North West - Rochdale, Salford and Widnes - definitely the Widnes guys were by far the friendliest.  They would even say thanks as they stole the wheel trims off the car!

I think being 'British' finished in the 1960s.

It`s a bit like going to a pub quiz night and the first question is "what the eff you looking at"

In all fairness, the way we have been treated in the UK by our own government for years is it any wonder a lot of people moan.

Does anyone actually speak their own language properly? :89:

I met a chinese lady at church sunday.  She lives in Hong Kong and she and her husband own a resto here and she was on visit.  She speaks the most beautiful english with a delightful british accent.  It was a real treat to have a conversation with her and so pleasing to the ear.
