OnMyWay Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I found this interesting web site that allows you to compare the weather in up to 4 cities, based on 1980 to 2016 data. I'm not sure how accurate it is. Read the disclaimer at the bottom. https://weatherspark.com/compare/y/134569~139471~139244~139283/Comparison-of-the-Average-Weather-in-Olongapo-Cebu-City-Panglao-and-Dumaguete

The overnight rain was drenching. It was a good thing as we discovered a leak that the workers had overlooked. Water was getting inside the concrete wall and working its way down so that our concrete kitchen wall at the back was sopping wet. Well, we share that wall with the neighbor and I wanted to know if their side was just as wet so when the pretty young neighbor lady was in the yard I said to her "Can you go in the back with me and check to see if you are wet?" I casually mentioned to the wife what I had asked. That;s when the fight started. But the workers seem to have fixed the leak. I'll know for sure when I go check on the neighbor after the next rain. 1

I'll know for sure when I go check on the neighbor after the next rain. Well I for 1 enjoy Our Daves Stories even in a calamity but nearer to the Truth, This Mornings rain offering has shown a bad leak (Funnily enough on our Kitchen gutterings) I was talking to one of the Dogs on the terrace who was investigating Something toward the back of the House as she stood on a bench Paws on the railings, I noticed that there was a River of Water running towards the Front of the car Port ( this is unusual) I found that the whole of the Gutter around the Kitchen area ( which is practically) Flat was well overflowing and the water was seeping into the Overhang Boards. On further inspection I found Water was cascading from an inset Security light Fixing, ( I don't think the Water would ever reach the cables but) Later I will have another look, To me, the Rain was that heavy that the 2 inch outlet pipes (there are 4) are either blocked ( yet the Gutters are covered with mesh) or they just could not cope with the Amount of Water, No Damage to the Interior of the Kitchen, so lucky there. Obviously I have organised for our people we use for work to come on Saturday (When "A" is home) to see what we can do. Whilst the weather has been Good to downright Hot, I think we are Going to pay for this long Dry Period. Edit. I have just looked and I Must have this done as I am thinking that if I don't the next lot may well get under the overhangs boards above the Salas 3 hp A/C Compressor unit and I have had enough problems with our A/C's for this year Moral; If it is dirt Blocked Gutters, then I will have to have them Cleared on a routine basis and not wait until the Downpours anything else I will be Guided! We had 3 inch down spouts in the rear of our house with wire mesh over the gutter, but they could still clog with leaves sometimes. Our back is surrounded with large trees. I replaced the 3 inch with 4 inch and it is much better. A big leaf could start a clog before but now they pass through.
Mark Berkowitz Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Interesting Web Site! It seems that Manila is getting cooler and San Antonio, TX is getting hotter.
