I have just learned that a friend  of Mine has lost a Precious dog ( a family long time pet) that was mauled by another Larger Dog. Ok But let's think on, Gates are a two way thing, They keep your pets in and predators out  I Am so sad to hear this news But.................:whatever: It did not have to Happen. Keep your gates Closed

Great advice!  My gate in Texas is electronically controlled, so it's 'easy peasy'with keeping it closed.

I have had to chase down our two dogs on multiple occasions.  I told my wife that Filipinos have no trouble getting a gate open, it is the closing and latching part that seems to cause them trouble. :571c66d400c8c_1(103):

Beep beep . .  maid opens gate.  Bye Bye . .  maid closes gate.  When no longer working, replace maid.

Surprisingly enough it is hard to find reliable house help here in Moalboal.  We have also gone through several caretakers for my wifes mother who had a stroke 3-4 years ago.  I think the many restobars and resorts in the area soak up a lot of the local labor.

That seems to also be true here in Davao. Right at this moment we have a working student doing cleaning and some cooking. He has a good heart but sometimes lacks what we think of as common sense. We feed him, give him an allowance and put him through school along with spending time instructing him about cleaning and cooking. So far, okay. But he is still on probation for a while...
