They cut down the pipe to make flaps then heated and folded over the ends

For us is land crab.  We  had to move/replace part of the drain line from the CR toilet.  It took two days and the plumber did not close off the line from the house.  After completion a fairly good size crab would show up in the toilet.  Every time I would try to catch him, he would manage to escape back down the line.  Finally flushed him by pouring multiple buckets of water one after the other for several minutes.

Makes a person mighty nervous to do a "sit down" knowing there is pair of fierce pincers just waiting down below.

In rhe UK we have a flap affair that hangs down by it's own weight and is hinged at the top. It will stop anything entering the pipe from the outside but will swing to allow water out.

I still prefer my open pipes.

Congrats on your new build and we appreciate the progress reports with photos.  I am very interested on how they would install earth ground and the wiring to each outlet.
