Can you download and save the IPTV shows? Do you need a smart tv?

We use a subscription expat tv service. We get all the UK Freeview channels plus lots more including the various Dicovery, History, Nat Geo etc. plus Sky Movies all in one package. Just like being back in the UK. It has seven day catch-up as well.

You do need a reasonable internet speed though.

Kayo for sports.  Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and recently Disney+ for TV and movies and a local cable TV subscription for SWMBO and the family.

I have never seen anything worth watching on free to air TV in the Philippines.

Yes, there are a number of Sky Sports channels. Although there is a 7 day 'catch-up' facility, ie you can watch the programmes aired over the last seven days, there is no record facility.
