Acrylic wallpaper is more beathable and ecofriendly than old fashioned vinyl.

I'm an old skool decorator for over 40 years now retired. I only know Acrylic paint. I will have a look into this Acrylic wallpaper.

The wife to be at the time wallpapered the bedroom to tidy it up for my upcoming visit, the paper came in pieces about the size of wrapping paper and in the night I could hear a grinding noise as the termites ate the glue from the back.

Could be cockroaches too. They love eating the glue.:89:

Could be silverfish, was a pest before wallpaper paste had insecticide added.

I am sure these book bugs are definitely not silverfish. They are much smaller, very tiny. I've had silverfish infestation before - nasty buggers that bite or pinch with their disgusting pincers and difficult to kill mechanically...

Anyway, I hope the new insecticide laden glues will prevent bugs for anyone using wallpaper. I am interested to hear more reports because we are interested to give wallpaper a try when the home is finished...

We have not had termite problems but the load bearing  interior walls in our house are concrete and that’s not termite food.

SWMBO took some photos, the vertical stripe pattern was much easier to line up than the circles (and wasted less paper).

Great job on the vertical stripes. Someone knew what they were doing.

SWMBO did both (with some small help from me).  The vertical stripes came up great but we didn’t get the circles quite right.  We’ll probably replace the circles with a different pattern at some point, it’s been a bit of a learning experience.
