Marvin Boggs Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I guess we are all old enough to know who Neal Peart was. I just read that he lost a battle with brain cancer at 67. Have seen Rush in concert on numerous occasions. Well what can I say except this has been my lifelong favorite band, and it would be easy to argue we just lost one of the world's best drummers. GeoffH Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) I've heard of Rush... have listened to Rush... not enough to know the names of the band members but honestly that applies to 99% of the music I listen to it's not indicitive of my opinion of the music which I thought was pretty good actually (not Deep Purple or AC/DC I'd pay for a ticket and go to a concert and see them good but pretty good). earthdome Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I started listening to Rush in 1976 after the 2112 album was released. Saw them once in concert. RIP Neal Peart.
i am bob Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 RIP Neil... Neal Peart was a local for me... Hagarsville, Ontario, Canada.. And I had met the original members when John Rutsey was the drummer before Neil actually joined Rush... So now both drummers for Rush have passed away...
