bows00 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 You rent an awesome condo on AirBnb. It even has a separate bedroom. But the internet sucks. There is no WiFi signal that extends to your bedroom. The only spot that can catch a signal Is in the corner of your living room, so you set up a table to set up your laptop there. Does this piss you off?? Common man, how many of us can live without a good WiFi signal that extends throughout our rented place? Especially to the bedroom? To me, this is unacceptable. Common Philippines...
hk blues Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 I wonder why you are so desperate for internet in the bedroom? Unacceptable or not, it is what it is - Can't you get the landlord to look into this and find a better solution?
BrettGC Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Not uncommon here, even in the major population centres. It's either accept it, or do as HK suggested, or go nuts.

I can understand if this was in the province of Samal, Leyte... but this condition is within an established Angeles City Condo. The majority of travelers don't bother with turning on the TV. It's YouTube, and internet on their laptops. Common man...

None of them provide better wifi than I can get by using the data connection on my phone and using it as a hotspot. So common man . . use your phone . . its 2020 now.
Popular Post Gary D Posted January 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2020 He's obviously never tailgated an aircon bus down NLEX to use their wifi.
graham59 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 (edited) Just buy one of those wifi booster/extender things. From Lazada ? Or... use 'Pocket Wifi' . Costs about p1500 for the little unit... which you then own. Ask the girls in AC about it (and any other technical phone/internet-related matter. ) Oh, and no place will ever be awesome to me, if the internet connection is crap. I may live in a shack in the middle of nowhere, but I do at least have 25meg, or more, fiber internet. If there is bad or no wifi as promised, AirBnB guests will let you know in the comments. I read every single comment before I book.
Joey G Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 I don't know about you all... but using unsecured wifi resulted in more spam email than I ever thought possible. And thats in the US as well as the PI. I use my phone and hotspot for everything other than checking weather... wouldn't type anything close to personal or important into an unsecured wifi.... and yeah, I know nothing is guaranteed either way
