Sorry... HK, supposedly they will cost more this year due to the increase in Philippine "sin" taxes? Still a good deal though...

What -  San Mig is now considered a sin!

The whole thing could have been resolved by the EU giving our then PM a few minor concessions

But we had the arrogance of the EU ,thinking that we would not vote to leave

The UK is the second largest contributor to the eu , there will be a lot of up front bs as usual from politicians

The eu will only ever work if it becomes a single entity ,I.e. the United states of Europe,  but that will never happen ,as it would mean countries having to surrender their sovereignty and for us that means the Queen and ,I dont see that happening .

I don't know - But I'm sure we "need" them more than they "need"us.  How much is the question - we'll find out soon enough!

Hahahaha look what I just found on the Austrian news:

Quote

Special Brexit postage stamp with humor

Austrian Post has demonstrated humor with a new special stamp on Brexit.
They printed a special stamp on the occasion of the originally targeted exit date.
Now it was updated just by overprinting the exisiting set of stamps.

and the result looks like this:

:hystery:

They are serious about that, this is legit!!

We survived  thrived for many hundreds of years before joining up with this French and German-controlled supposedly trading (only) club, despite the many wars with them near-bankrupting us !

It has grown into a monster, conning the original voters who ticked the 'Yes' box to join (which I did NOT).

Good riddance.

I would much rather share interests with the US, Canada, and our Antipodean friends.
