At the moment I have tins of paint all over the place from the roof deck to the upstairs and even outside , so the other day I was looking for the tin if white enamel paint , have you seen my white paint Ems I said , I think it’s on the roof deck I will fetch it she shouted .

Is this the one white E New Mel , :shock_40_anim_gif:no Ems it’s enamel, yes E New Mel , well I laugh so much and in the end she would not believe me how to pronounce the word she went onto her tablet and spoken to Siri asking what’s E New Mel , well it came back as animal and in the end he got fed up too.

In Em's defense (defence for you Brits), Brits do speak funny. BTW, I am from NEW ENGLAND so I have a bit of a mix. As long as the ladies are peng, what does it matter how she pronounces Enamel :cheersty:  She is still great to look at.

Ask her to say "focus".  This gets a recurring laugh at our house:hystery:

I would have expected a different pronunciation for 'enamel' because of they way they pronounce their vowels.  A,E,I,O,U are pronounced Ah, Eh, E, Oh, Uu (ball, bed, city, no, soon). Once I learned their vowels I have had an easier time sounding out words.

Last year I was on my way to buy varnish and my wife said to buy 'mople' (ah, as in mop).  I thought at first it was a brand. Finally I figured out it was a color - maple.  :tiphat:

Thanks for figuring that out for me!  I had no idea what she was talking about when she said mopple either!  I just "confeermed" with her that yes its a color, like mahogany, clear, etc!
