Is it really Cheese?

My Asawa, since moving to US, likes grated fresh parmesan on many dishes, and shredded "mexican blend" cheese on salad (a blend of three real cheeses).  She' also loves one of the Cauliflower crust pizzas we buy in grocery which is thin and crispy when cooked right and wouldn't even know it's cauliflower and parmesan bound together.   Good stuff!

I can relate to that since my wife tells me that whenever I cook American meals, they taste sour to her.

For me, it's the reciprocal... So many Filipino dishes are too sweet - always sugar or sweet fruit added. Even L does not like the "fruit salad" her older sister concocts - just way too sweet. And L made a macaroni type salad for a party the other day - I could barely eat it - and did not eat much - because it was very sweet and also had the Eden "cheese" on it... My arteries were screaming, "Noooo! Don't eat that!!!"
