jimeve Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 The Philippines stock exchange suspended two days ago, saving the investors Billions of pesos. I think when it goes back on the market the peso will drop, Hopefully.

I'm not so sure investors will have saved much, Jim - the hit has simply been delayed a couple of days I'd imagine.
GeoffH Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 The Aussie dollar is down to 29.5 peso and about 58 USA cents. That is crazy low and the Aussie Reserve has just started quantitative easing which hasn’t been done in my life time

Heeb Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I got out of the market when I retired last June, I don't care to ever get in again, too stressful, my 85 year old father has lost about 200k, they live off of investments aside from social security, he's too old for the stress I fear. My mother has been watching our cats and our home since we moved here but now he wants her home because she's spending too much money, I will have to start making plans to get back and prepare our home for rent, and at a difficult time with travel restrictions.
