If they fly into Manila they may be required to quarantine for 14 days. Manila is currently under lock down and people cannot leave the city for 30 days. But as others have posted things are changing on a daily, even hourly, basis. No one is going to be able to tell you what will happen 10 days from now, only what is happening now. Now we know what the pets feel like.

There just isn't anything east of Manila. Thank you, I learn something every day.

Tukaram (Tim) Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 The travel restrictions are just going into effect today, so no one really knows all the details yet. And with daily review, it could be in flux for a while. Could they just stay with you in Thailand for the month?

But the family is a bit panicky about the whole corona thing...
LUFCinMakati Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 One of my friends wife flew in Tuesday, they also live in Cavite. He took all the correct paperwork along with safety clothing and he collected her without a problem. If your friend doesn’t have someone to collect him, he’s screwed as he will have no way of getting even to Manila, plus the Hotels are not taking new guests. Unfortunately they should have got back as soon as the lockdown was announced.

Bringer Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 They got back on the few Philippine Airlines flights that were running the last few days. One of them was picked up by her family. The other had to pay an outrageous amount to a cab driver to bring her to Cavite. So both are home safely. Thanks to everyone who made constructive comments. :)
Huggybearman Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Glad to hear they made it back OK. It must have been a very stressful experience, just the same.
