It says virus expelled from the human body in breath can survive in the air for 3 hours but farting is different. Farts seem likely to contain particulate matter which ordinary breath does not. Particles may or may not be stopped by a layer or 2 of cloth. Said particles may or may not be hospitable to the virus. Inquiring minds want to know.
