nobody could have predicted how much PPE was going to be needed before this virus struck and most would have been up in arms if respective health authorities had been spending huge amounts of money on supplies that may not have any future use.  It's both an excuse and a reason.

In addition, some places that had a stockpile for a long time found the equipment moldy and had to discard it.  You can only stockpile so much.

The problems we are having with PPE are now making their way to the bbc news

Even allowing for reasons of shortages, the situation is not good , ive been getting stupid emails from the senior management who woukd apear to be either smoking some herbal sunstance or detached from reality

There is a severe shortage of equipment and im getting emails informing me to do stuff like, use sanitzer wipes on your steering wheel , use gloves and mask when driving etc

My reply is "where are the gloves, masks ,sanitizer and wipes "
