Tommy one meal I once had in Andorra many years ago was snails....best meal i have ever eaten.

Ah... okay... I respect your taste for snails. They just are not for me...

Sorry... when I lived in Seattle in the country, I sometimes stepped on snails when walking barefoot... That was as close as I ever wanted to be to them... I guess just my own taste... I also won't eat brains, kidney, heart (I have eaten beef heart a few times, but just not my favourite), tongue (had that in Germany without knowing, but knew right after the first bite due to texture), squid (had that too, but prefer to swim with those critters and play with them)... We each have our own preferences... such are mine. Hmmm and definitely no rocky mountain oysters will pass these lips!!! And L absolutely loves fish heads and, the eyeballs! Those far exceed my limits!

But there I go again ranging far off topic. So, to bring it back, snails, as far as I am concerned, will be winners during the pandemic... Losers will be pigs, chickens, fish and veggies... down the hatch!

Hmm... today's listed crude oil prices of ~$14.00/barrel?  So soon maybe they will just pump us gas into our cars for free? (Not)

That's actually better than it was... I think it got to -$35 per barrel (which basically means you have to pay someone to store it).

The Aussie government are taking advantage of this and buying $90 million AUD to top up the countries emergency storage as we write about this.

NB I'm not sure how the 90 million works... given the negative purchase price, maybe it's used to rent the storage?

Good that someone is thinking about the future... but 90 mln Aussie is not really a lot... Maybe it is time to buy the 1,000 hp Camaro, Challenger or Mustang of my dreams and race it around on the empty streets while I can? Oh shit... I forgot... the car dealers are closed now...

The car dealers are still open in Australia, very quiet and operating under 'social distancing' restrictions but open.

Mainly they're open for servicing so people can keep using their cars to go to work (for those in an essential industry).

From the limited information I have at hand, the margins for restaurants here generally are rather thin. Many people in Philippines are rather "thrifty" and don't like to spend any more than necessary for restaurant food. I can easily see that just a week or more with few - if any - customers could break restaurants that are right on the edge anyway.

Yah. that's true most filipino now are saving they money during this time..

Winners - companies that sell video games.  Sales up a lot as people forced to stay home.

And streaming video providers and internet companies, probably porn companies too...
