Building 3 small Nipa Huts - estimated cost?

I’m wanting to build 3 small Nipa Huts / cottages to rent. I will attach a few pictures of the type of design I’m looking for. It will be concrete walls with wooden roof.

The size of each hut will be around 18 ft x 10 ft (so approximately 17.3 sq meters each).
Each hut will be very basic; just a main room for a bed & units (no kitchen) with the CR at the back for shower, sink & toilet. Maybe extra space at the front for small balcony. 

Has anyone had something similar built here in Philippines?

What is the estimated total cost to design and built 3 of these huts? 
Any advice would be much appreciated.

There is a Nipa hut maker up the road towards Bukidnon from where our house is that sells nipa huts, they move them on a flat bed truck after sale to where they're put. 

The smallest single room ones with open space windows start from 10,000 peso (or 15,000 with an outside semi covered verandah) but the one in your picture is about twice that size, has glass windows and doors and it's not woven walls.   It's not what I think of when someone talks about a Nipa hut.

What you've pictured looks like semi-western construction but shaped and sized to somewhat resemble a traditional Nipa hut so it's going to be a lot more than that, I would be estimating your cost based upon house building costs which could run from around 10,000 per square meter upwards.

Have you spoken to a builder yet?

I cannot give an estimated cost, but the concrete blocks and concrete aren't too expensive. I won't even guess as my estimates on the building we've done were way off.

The issues you'll have though are finding a "foreman" to build it (much cheaper than an engineer or architect) then he'll either do it on a daily rate, in which case you need to be with them all the time as they'll work slow and make 'mistakes' so the job takes longer to complete or they'll offer paquio (something like that) where they'll give you a set fee to do it, which means they'll work faster and often take shortcuts if your back is turned - again you need ot be there with them constantly to make sure it's done properly.

For the elctricity try to find a 'electrician' who specialises, or at least someone who you can inspect his previous work if possible - we've gone through 4 'electricians' on our house to find one that made everything work safely.

The roof thatching could have to be done seperately, my girls family had a thatched roof on a place in Samar we replaced with tin as it kept getting damaged in storms. The thatching we didn't pay for the 90 y.o. grandfather would be up doing it himself - thus why we put a tin roof on it for him. Of course a tin roof would make your pictured place look a bit shabby and ruin the atmosphere.

Looking at what you've pictured there (including those 'proper' alloy windows and doors)... top of my head....about p100,000 each unit. 

Personally, I'd keep the cash invested back in the U.K. though, and avoid all the inevitable hassle.

You won't find much to invest in in the UK for circa. 5K GBP.

To SOME people 5K is a lot of money.

It's no a small amount but if we're talking about investing, it won't get you much, if anything, in the UK as I said. I wouldn't invest anything on property here personally, but we don't know the guy's motivation/purpose.

Yes sorry for the confusion in the Title  “Nipa Huts”, that’s what my girlfriend was calling them but it’s more like a cottages I’m looking to build with concrete walls and wooden roof.

I’ve had 3 different quotes varying from 100,000 to 350,000 pesos per cottage but I have a local builder coming round after the ecq has finished to have a look at the land & dimensions.
He was recommended from a friend who build his westernised house here and said he was very professional and got the job done within the specified amount of time allocated (or they would pay his rent 🤣). I’ve looked at the house & inside and it’s been done to a high specification.

I sold my house back in England to set up a small resort here in the Philippines so that is my ambition and dream.
I already have a house here with some land at the front so I will build 3 small cottages and a bar / restaurant. Then at least all my friends & family can stay as well as tourists & I’ve always wanted a bar in my garden so happy days 😂!
I know that it’s probably the wrong time to start investing now with the virus going on and the uncertainty of future tourists coming to the island. But I would much rather invest my money here on Bantayan Island rather than England.

I think with the plans of building a commercial airport on the island will also increase the value of my property & land.
