CV 19 Sensor and Big Brother

This week COVID -19 sensor was 'inserted' into every phone.

Apparently when everyone was having ‘phone disruptions’ earlier in the  week, they were adding COVID-19 Trackers to our phones!

If you have an Android phone, go under Settings, then google settings and it’s there. If you have an iPhone, go to settings, privacy, then health, It’s there but not yet functional."

It would appear that whilst not activated this is actually the base platform for individual countries to overlay their tracking apps.

Many will see this as a positive development to dealing with the current scourge affecting us all whilst others may have concerns about this being the thin edge of the wedge to further erosion of our privacy and or liberty.

Ongoing the following may be of interest .

It covers a few topics and is quite an old recording.

William Pawelec knew he was going to die and decided to spill some beans.

China has already been doing this with regards to Covid-19 since earlier this year.  They track residents who are not practicing quarantine.  You can't deny your movement because the data on the phone is a giveaway.  The newer iPhones and similar devices sold in the United States have pre-installed apps that has similar tracking technology.

Recently, the bodies of two missing children were found buried in a farm using the "ping" signal from cellular towers. The FBI obtained a court order that gave them access to the phones owned by the suspects -- one of whom was the children's mother.

No privacy if you have had the virus as it is meant to tell you if you are getting close to someone who had it.

Using a feature phone instead of a smart phone restricts tracking as well (doesn't stop it though because they can still follow you through which towers your phone is using).  Turning your phone off would normally stop it being trackable but there are reports of Trojans (that if your phone is infected) can be used to track smart phones.

Again a feature phone without a software library shouldn't be trackable.

So if you're worried about it then just use a cheap Nokia or Samsung button phone (999 peso at your local PI phone store) and turn it off when you're not using it.

There are widespread reports that some government players deploy trojans that enable tracking of smart phones in standby mode.

Of course you have to be 'interesting' enough to warrant that so it's not an issue for most people.
