What the heck !  Is this web-site hexed?  Hadn't seen one in many a month, but wrote about the blighters this morning, and just now finished taking a mid-day  cool down shower. I cleaned my wet eyeglasses, put them on and was now staring at a big one right in front of me. Slipped off the wet slipper and gave him a whack.... so I thought. Never found the usual curled up corpse,  so I guess he escaped.

Be careful what you write about. Who knows how the Fates operate these days.

I would have liked to kept Mr. Tuko around the place for large insect control, but the wife wouldn't have it. The women have a lot of unwarranted opinions on the creatures.

Last two visits to the home were quiet - no Tuko. The boys had hooked up some big pvc pipe to the one where he was hanging out. I was sad about that. I asked the foreman about the Tuko and he smiled, shrugged and said he might be in the new rain barrel that was also hooked up the pipe.

But...good news! On Saturday's visit, I didn't hear him, but one of the boys told me that they seem him around sometimes and that he remains quiet until he finds a place to hide. Then he yells a bit, growls and is actually quiet most of the time. Now we will be a bit more watchful when we wander around outside.

Maybe he/she moved house to my place.
