Yes, the application is online but you still need to send the old passport by snail mail - but didn't Jack say all mail was suspended so no courier service either? Maybe I misunderstood. Without Air or sea Travel I can't see how any International courier can Operate, As I say maybe on Cebu or Luzon as they are both Operating International Travel, Regular Commercial Air and Sea Travel is suspended on Negros Oriental https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1114307

It's all in package.

If there is no airport or shipping how can the courier company have picked up/delivered your passport, Jim? What method do they use?

If you live on Luzon I can't see there being a problem.

No worries Jim, you just put a smile on my face with that reply! I'm in the Western Visayas - I'll check with LBC here at the end of this month what the status is on mail. At least not in the last 30 years. Especially in the Philippines. Scheduled domestic flights and cargo services may be suspended in some areas, but most likely some of the domestic couriers are still able to operate, with delays. Goods still have to flow in and out. If you called a local courier, they could give you a status on their services. For International, all the big guys have dedicated cargo flights, and the embassies would be using those.

graham59 Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 Totally ridiculous in this day and age if I can't report to the UK Pension Service, that I'm still the Philippines, and still alive. We use online banking every day, for similarly 'confidential' stuff...regardless of where we are in the world. What's wrong with using a video link such as Skype ? Yes... that's me . Yes, I'm still alive, here in the Philippines, complete with Yorkshire accent, and waving my passport and drivers licence at you. How long would that take...and free of charge ? U.K. government departments, PLEASE drag yourselves into the 21st century ! I suppose better late than never, if they've discovered email.
