How to lose 76 million potential supporters...and make a total dick of yourself (again ?) in front of the whole world. :whatever:

He may not care about potential votes anyway

Stop Facebook?

I wish that it was stopped in the USA, at least during presidential elections.

There are so many Russian and Chinese trolls on there, that I can see how some gullible people will believe what they see and let it influence their decision on election day in the States.

Here's one such example:

Facebook said that they'll remove them but I think that it's a bit too late.

Sooner or later there will be new laws on the style of haircut we can have.

Hopefully, they won't be like this one: :facepalm_80_anim_gif:

A bad haircut is a small price to pay for a full head of hair .  Too bad for this model that the thick hair covers an empty skull.

To be fair someone needs to police Facebook, I've got a few friends who are forever posting what are easy to see hatchet jobs on certain politicians and celebrities, by the time I've pointed out the facts to them a few more have already jumped on the band wagon. Even on so called news feeds you know the reporters are lying to tarnish a person's reputation.

I think those spreading fake news need making an example of.  Maybe then we'll get back to  normal society.

That's a head shot bullseye Snowy.  Who or what verifies the "FB fact checkers"?  And their "community standards" are based on what?

Anyway, I hope FB remains intact for millions of Filipinos doing live face time.  My wife uses it a few times a week to stay connected with her sister in Makati.

I think this is now normal.  We will never go back.  In a way it is good.  We the people will have to learn to use our brains instead of relying on what we read (often lies) or see (often photoshopped).

 Facebook IS the internet.

There is messaging via Globe or Smart but for internet there is only Facebook. Everyone knows that.

That might have been true a couple of years ago but many of the younger family members are obsessed with TikTok and treat Facebook as a secondary site.

Maybe they'll have to make brains compulsory.
