Have you thought about the old Phils standby of putting broken glass on top on the walls around the property?

I'd think that would stop at least some monkeys...

I actually climbed out onto the outside of m apartment and glued 2 inch needles, hundreds of them to stop the monkeys getting access. Twenty minutes after finishing there was a monkey quite happily walking over them. I never realised how far they can jump also, twenty foot is nothing to them when I chase them.

What about these soft stuffed toy Tigers , put one of these in the garden , it may stop the monkeys 🙈, then again it may not , in other countries you see them doing this but after awhile the monkeys gang up and rip the toy apart, be fun watching though to see what they would do.

I hope you have a weapon with you when chase them!  Club, rocks, pepper spray.  We have some big Alpha males here that you don't want to mess with, especially when females and little ones are present.  Teenage males are dangerous too.  Especially the ones carrying skateboards.  Over the years, there have been attacks on humans and domestic animals.  It ain't pretty, and rabies shots are no fun too!

I don't think the Philippines monkeys have seen a real tiger.  Maybe that would work in India.

We have one big male here but he is wary of me. The juvenile males as you say are worse but I ensure I have something in my hand that will launch them into next week.

Funny or not, the monkeys are protected here and it is illegal for the Aeta Indians to hunt them, effective 20+ years ago.  They have no natural predators so of course they have overpopulated.

The PETA people would never agree to any thinning of the troupes.   The owner of the local vet office which has the stray dog and cat "Spay and Neuter" program around here told me a few years ago that SBMA had made a play to spay and neuter the monkeys!  Never heard anything of it!

Can you imagine what the jungle would look like after those Alpha males get cut?

There was a story here that a guy hit one of the monkeys in the street (they rarely use crosswalks) with his car.   They remembered his car and would throw rocks at him when he drove past!
