We were one of the lucky ones to get a refund relatively quickly (30 days) but it took hours on hold and more time talking to people with no power to do anything. They've sorted that glitch in the system. Now it's all computerised and you can't speak to a human. Everything is computerised or via email. Replies they say can take up to 7 days which is fantastic when they cancel the first part of your flight the night before but still give you a boarding pass for the second leg. 2 1
Popular Post Nickleback99 Posted February 10, 2021 Popular Post Posted February 10, 2021 As you noted DaveB, the rules and circumstances continually change. My Asawa and son just returned From PI to here in NW Washington and were lucky entering PI in Dec to do the one test only entering and only 1 day in hotel, as our 6 y.o. would lose his freaking mind if "jailed" for 6 days or more....he was bouncing off City Garden walls after just one day. Sure hope that things ease up by this Fall as we plan our escape back to the Philippines and hopefully Dumaguete when all said and done, as just can't see us hotel confined with the kiddo for any length of time. We've started the give away and selling things off. As a side, Asiana changed their rules too while they were in PI, such that they had to get a test to transit ICN on way back due to 13 hr layover; 6 hrs was the cut off regardless of staying in airport or not. At least that test was easy for them to obtain and much better organized than at the airport even though Asawa pre-paid. Closing, will just say things Here do seem to "magically" be getting better on numbers since Jan 20th....imagine that....looking forward to leaving finally.
Shol Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Just sucks you were sorta "dumbed" out of your BB stamp but then again I guess it's better that they let you in lol. That's insane that they wouldn't have this sort of thing as a priority to make sure their staff is up to date as some of this stuff is big time life impacting. Oh well it's the Philippines and welcome back :)
