Ciao Vanni,

You have an interesting story, and I'll enjoy hearing about your new place there in Manila, and any stories about Italy too. It seems that business ties between Italy and the Philippines are growing all the time. As an avid cook and baker that loves Italian dishes, I'm always heartened by the many new Italian wines and food items I can find in Cebu! Lazada also has helped me find more Italian treasures from up in your area.

Looking forward to your posts.

Gee Thanks Jollygoodfellow---I'd been getting some great cheeses and deli meat items that were appearing in Bogo City Metro from Italian Food Specialists, but had no idea how much more was available in the Cebu area! I'm really going to go over all this! I had no idea how much was out there!

Metro here now sells some from the Italian Food people but as you said they have more than the supermarket.

I have noticed in the past  year or two a lot more authentic woodfired italian pizza places popping up around the Philippines which that company probably supply a lot of their toppings.

I'll bet that will have an impact on future restaurants and pizza places. I only get over to Metro once a month, so I'm not sure what we're missing that other shoppers had already bought. This past month I was able to get their fresh mozzarella which really made some nice homemade pizza. I also got some great parm and Romano hard cheese. I was amazed at all the varieties of pasta that they offer on-line! Is there any brick and mortar store that sells these deli items in Cebu, or is it all distributed or offered on-line?

The truly Italian have pick up at Mandaue warehouse but you have to order it first.

Pick-up at Mandaue warehouse can be arranged, minimum order of Php 1,500.

The EUROriginals have pick up at Lupu Lupu after ordering select pick up at checkout.

Jedco have a store in Banilad.

The others will have contact info or messenger with the links I posted.

ADDED

I think the Tinderbox in Banilad has a lot of imported products as well but been a long time since I was there.

That's great JGF! I think that the Truly Italian would be great for much of what I'd want, and it's closer in Mandaue for me.

All good though. Now if only I could find a great loaf of Italian bread!

Thanks JGF--I think I'd stick with just one seller, if I could get most of what I want. Wow their hard liquor was kind of pricey for my taste!
