Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains
Shenandoah River,
Life is old there
Older than the trees
Younger than the mountains
Blowin' like the breeze

I sure do miss John Denver.

That's my main goto Kareoke song when the family have Kareoke night.

We have some very good singers in the family, one cousin got to the semi finals on Philippines has talent and her mother is every bit as good.  My musical training was piano but I can stumble my way through a few songs, enough to be part of the group anyway.

@Explorer  Just curious - Have you, your spouse, or your children had any of the following vaccines?

  • Cervical cancer
  • Cholera
  • COVID-19
  • Diphtheria
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza
  • Japanese encephalitis
  • Measles
  • Meningitis
  • Mumps
  • Pertussis
  • Pneumonia
  • Polio
  • Rabies
  • Rotavirus
  • Rubella
  • Tetanus
  • Typhoid
  • Varicella
  • Yellow fever

Yes but the vaccines on your list are not mRna, was tested for many years and are FDA approved, also there are alternative therapeutics like ivermectin to treat covid, not sure if it is available for the vaccines you mentioned.

We don`t drink warm beer any more. As for incentives I should have thought freedom of movement would be enough. We have been locked down too long now. I will get the jab.

Might that have been the point of locking you down?

As 'Hanlons Razor' says; 'Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence.'

Who said anything about Malice? So, you say you think it's most likely incompetence but there is a possibility it was true malice?

That's 'malice' in the criminal meaning of the word, not the common useage.

In criminal law, Malice indicates the intention, without justification or excuse, to commit an act that is unlawful.

I have no basis to assume that's the case given that if there was a lab leak the lab would have been working under the auspices of the relevant local authorities... hence not malicious.

Looks like Washington state may give a "marijuana joint" if you show a vaccine certificate.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/washington-state-approves-offering-free-marijuana-joints-to-those-getting-the-covid-vaccine/ar-AAKQi1q

Officials at the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) on Monday gave state licensed cannabis retailers permission to offer one pre-rolled marijuana joint "to adult consumers who receive a vaccination at an in-store vaccination clinic."

The promotion, which LCB calls "Joints for Jabs," aims to promote and support the state's vaccination efforts, according to LCB's news release. They added that they received multiple requests from cannabis retail licensees to help in the efforts.

The promotion is offered to adults 21 and older, and will end on July 12.

The news comes just a few weeks after LCB announced a different incentive offering those who got vaccinated free beer, wine and cocktails.

Across the US, many have been offering incentives ranging from free donuts to baseball game tickets to encourage people to get vaccinated as more states try to reach their vaccination goal.

In Washington, 48.7% of the state's residents are fully vaccinated, according to data from CNN's vaccine tracker. The state's goal is to hit 70%, according to the state's health department.

What is the US does not reach the goal? Will the British take back the USA? Would they even want to? :hystery:
