Police on Monday (July 19, 2021) arrested an Australian man for allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend's children at a hotel in Dumaguete City. Peter Lay, 39, and another suspect, Edlyn Gelantaga-an, were arrested at a house in Bacolod City. The children, aged 3 and 9, were eventually rescued, a police report obtained by Yes The Best 106.3 showed. In a phone interview, Dumaguete City Police Chief PLtCol. Joeson Parallag said that Lay allegedly abducted the children in an attempt to get back with his ex-girlfriend. Lay and Gelantaga-an are now under custody of the Dumaguete City Police.
