From Facebook Dumaguete July 19.

Police on Monday (July 19, 2021) arrested an Australian man for allegedly kidnapping his ex-girlfriend's children at a hotel in Dumaguete City.

Peter Lay, 39, and another suspect, Edlyn Gelantaga-an, were arrested at a house in Bacolod City. The children, aged 3 and 9, were eventually rescued, a police report obtained by Yes The Best 106.3 showed.

In a phone interview, Dumaguete City Police Chief PLtCol. Joeson Parallag said that Lay allegedly abducted the children in an attempt to get back with his ex-girlfriend.

Lay and Gelantaga-an are now under custody of the Dumaguete City Police.

I suspected those children were his from girl friend but we don't know for sure one way or the other. News outlets often feature foreigners in the worst light twisting the truth omitting facts.
