They have plenty of late model repossessions and you make a bid. You can find them on all the banks websites. We bought a second hand 3 year old Wigo a bit before Covid hit through a bank repossession agent, it was a fairly painless process, the car was half the price of a new one (with 30,000 kms on it) and the car was in very good condition (we had it inspected at the taxi company SWMBO's papa used to work for). It's been totally reliable, only expenses have been consumables, servicing and repairing the dents down the side that SWMBO put in it... I didn't have to deal with that... her ex taxi driver papa was much stricter than I would have been and her uncle did a cheap but very good repair (family rates) as he does body repairs for the taxi company. Papa doesn't let SWMBO drive the Innova... only him and me haha. NB because the car was not from region X getting the registration transferred was slow, if I was doing it again I'd look for one from the same region if possible (just because it's for sale in that region doesn't mean it's originally from that region). I've lost count of how much I've spent on transport for items fit for dumping (IMO) to be sent on to the family - no joke, we have a sofa about to be added to the list this weekend. I purchased an expensive sofa from Mandaue Foam that fell apart in three weeks. MF refused to repair it. Amazon you’d have hundreds of reviews to make a judgement. It’s more fun…

And some banks are willing to negotiate without getting offended. Thanks my friend!

That's exactly what I deal with! Expensive doors, but that are full of duct tape to keep the bugs out and the a/c from escaping. I think having the a/c on the inside, coupled with the heat/humidity on the outside might help it crack. Oh well, my wife tries to make the duct tape look like a decorative design. 😁 4

Given the price, both are OK but Our Home definitely has the edge on quality. The sofa "we" are giving away was from Our Home and is now 7 years old - cost was well under $1,000 so I'd say that's not bad. We've had mixed luck with Mandaue - outdoor furniture in particular has been disappointing. We just bought another sofa today from Our Home funnily enough - I'll let you know in 7 years how it worked out! Here, the problem is there isn't really many options in the mid-price other than Mandaue and SM in our area - there are a few high-end options but I feel they are ripping me off and the cheaper stores just don't impress. 3

I tend to think many of us are just not realising we really do get what we are prepared to pay for, I shopped in decent places in and around Dumaguete and have a 3 piece suite maybe a tad over the odds for some 8 years now but as I said,:You will get what you are prepared to pay for" What was that old saying with regard to labour can apply to many things " Pay peanuts, you get monkeys, we (the foreigner) CAN afford what we want without getting Stuffed, if we shop around a Little IMHO 5 1 1

Something we should all consider more often. 1

It's my opinion that we pay a premium above and beyond the real value just because we can afford to if we are shopping at that end of the market - that's how it works here as we all know (For fairness, it's the same all over the world) Luxury cars are a classic albeit extreme example, as are exclusive restaurants. In short - you don't always get what you pay for here.

As I said, It is up to US ( everyone) that should be Happy enough with what we are willing to pay, many people are still in never, never land and believe the Top Money paid must be best and of course, we know ( or should know) when we are being conned with Top end prices. Me! i am fairly middle of any range and that suits me but that's me Edited March 18, 2022 by Jack Peterson just because
