I also met my wife on a dating site after clicking on an ad on a travel blog. Three trips and then she came to the US.

It's been over 6 years, and two (soon to be 3) kids since then.

True story.  I met a good friend's wife online, they'd only been married one month. You can safely say she panicked when she saw I'd viewed her profile. I never did let on to him and they appear to be happily married now a couple of years down the line, they were the type that were continually falling out and arguing before marriage and thought marriage would sort it. Touch wood it's worked for them.

I think most successful relationships here start on a dating site, but at the same time, most dating site hookups do not end up successfully.

No masks, during the ceremony for the wedding party, but to enter The Hall of Justice, we all required them - courthouse wedding and government buildings had just mandated them.  It was February 14 so the lockdowns etc hadn't swept the world yet.

I met my wife in 2008 whilst working together on cruise ships, followed by dates in different countries as we travelled around. We lived in Southampton, Manila and Cebu before having a shotgun wedding due to visa requirements to move to the Middle East. Then ended up out in Australia.

I met my wife while I was on a vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2015. She was working at a tourist spot on the island of Oahu. I remember entering the establishment and the first person who passed me as I walked in the main entrance was this beautiful Filipina. I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, she's beautiful". I proceeded about my business doing the touristy thing. I had picked out some tshirts to buy and when I went to the register to pay for them, there was nobody there. So, I went back to make sure I got the right sizes (souvenir's for my kids) and when I went back to the register to pay for them the beautiful Filipina I saw when I came in was standing there to help me. As I was paying for the shirts, we made small talk and I asked if she was from Hawaii and she said "No, I'm from the Philippines". I introduced myself and shook her hand as she handed me my purchase. I left and went around looking through the store some more. About 30 to 45 minutes went buy and I was looking at some Koa Wood items while there was a presentation going on behind me (I didn't know it at the time but it was her doing the presentation). When she was done, she was handing out some samples of Pineapple for people to try. I felt this tap on my shoulder and someone calling my name asking if I would like some pineapple. When I turned around, to my pleasant surprise, it was her who had called my name offering me some pineapple. I, of course, said "Yes!" It was at that time I heard a voice in my head that said, "...that was your que, go and ask her out..." So, I did..... and the rest is history. I was able to convince her 1 1/2 yrs later to marry me and leave Hawaii and live with me on the mainland. We've been married since the end November 2016. I consider her my "Gift from God" and I love her endlessly!
