One Star Michelin Guide Awarded to Filipino Fine Dining Restaurant

Michelin Guide USA awarded this year One Star to Kasama, a Filipino restaurant located in Chicago, Illinois.  The restaurant offers a 13 courses sampling menu for $215++ per person and $115++ for wine pairing.  Reservations required and 45 days in advance is highly recommended.  Owners and chefs are Tim Flores and Genie Kwon.  While Michelin Guide one-star restaurants are advertised in the Philippines, the food is not really Filipino.  Example is Hawker Chan who received their star in Singapore and then franchised.  (I believe the star was either withdrawn or not renewed.)
