Regardless where you live... good insurance is no guarantee for good health care.... so measure what you can get, with where you can use it.

If possible... I'd seek out a good doctor for well care and annual checkups... this way if you get sick you can see them rather than walk in to a hospital and throw your self a their mercy on who attends to you. 

For true emergencies... depending on the situation... it's not always possible to pick your hospital.

That's very true, sometimes time is critical and you have to go to the closest decent hospital rather than the best possible one simply because of distance and time.

Yes and sometimes the better hospitals won’t take new patients. I had to go to a hospital with a bad reputation according to Facebook, no worse than some of them back home. You can always transfer when you are stable
