Just heavy rain and localised flooding where I am, not been affected so far.  The guys further north aren't having a great time though.

Calm and no rain this morning.  Sure hope it lasts, the land needs to dry out.  Some flooding in the low lying areas.

6 houses which were empty due to being evacuated 2 weeks ago because of risk. Another 12 homes at risk were evacuated after the landslide.

Lots of trees, branches all down in Manila... and some areas with no power but I expect that there will many reports of flooding and loss of life in next few days. The rain was non stop in Manila basically for 14 hours and very intense and windy from 8pm to about 2am. Airport closed 2pm to 10pm... that will have caused major disruption.  One flight  in the morning, Tacloban to Manila got half way and pilot turned around, felt it was too dangerous  to continue

A LANDSLIDE in Sitio Graje in the mountain barangay of Busay, Cebu City swept four homes, including the house of Barangay Captain Ma. Christia Famador.

When they arrived at the scene, they saw a gaping hole where the house once stood. It had settled at the bottom of the ravine along with three other houses and tons of soil and other debris.

The barangay is monitoring three houses, which are also in danger of sliding down the slope as the rain-soaked ground continues to shake while water from higher ground continues to flow down the road.

Meanwhile, only motorcycles are allowed to use the road going to the neighboring barangay of Malubog, but vehicles from Malubog have been allowed to leave one by one to decongest the area.

Residents there are worried by the constant rumbling of the surface. (BBT/PJB)

Still rainy here but little wind.

We braved going out last night for dinner and made it to within 100m of the mall when a downpour hit us! While we were in the mall there was a torrential downpour but OK by the time we were leaving.
