Had never heard of him before now but checked out his channel.  Obviously, a fool whether guilty or not.

MANILA – Police officers have arrested a German national and video blogger (vlogger) for sexually assaulting a female minor in Muntinlupa City.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) identified the suspect as Marcel Messall, 29, alias 'Mr Pogi German', who was arrested inside his house in Eastwind Homes Subdivision, Barangay San Isidro in Montalban town, Rizal province at around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The operation was conducted based on the complaint of the victim, especially after her video went viral with over 8 million views within the day it was uploaded.

Messal, who uses Mr. Pogi German in his vlog, reportedly picked up the victim in Muntinlupa City and brought her to a budget hotel in Alabang on the night of Jan. 8. This was where the alleged sexual assault of the victim and the shooting of its video occurred.

The complainant positively identified Messal as the one who sexually assaulted him.

The suspect was brought to the Muntinlupa City Police Station for investigation and proper disposition before the filing of appropriate charges against the suspect.

Messall is also facing a case of violating Republic Act 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 for the circulation of photos and a video of another 17-year-old victim on social media, according to the police.

Foreign YouTuber gets arrested for alleged sexual assault of minor

A foreign YouTuber was arrested on Tuesday, January 10 after being accused of sexually molesting a female minor in Alabang and bringing her to a budget hotel.

The content creator was identified as Marcel Messall, more popularly online as Mr. Pogi German, who has over 42,100 subscribers on YouTube.

The victim said that she thought that she was invited to participate in a “24-hour Jowa Challenge” YouTube video. However, she was surprised when she was portrayed as a “pick-up girl” when the video was uploaded on Facebook.

Muntinlupa Police Colonel Angel Garcillano also said Messall is aware that the victim is just 17 years old.

For content purposes, the YouTuber allegedly tells the victim in the video to say that she is just 18 years old, Garcillano added.

Messall in the disclaimer says the purpose of the video is “to help Filipina girls like her who can’t afford daily essentials like food or gatas for her baby.”

In the latter part of the video, he reveals that it was just a prank and that he did not want to have sexual intercourse with the minor.

However, based on the medical findings the victim was found to be sexually assaulted.

The German national was charged for rape as well as photo and video voyeurism in relation to the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act or R.A. 7610.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon urged local councilors to declare Messall as persona non grata (unwelcome) for promoting prostitution and painting the city negatively.

“Hindi natin tino-tolerate ang ganitong klaseng mga activity. This also serves as a warning to all other persons na engaged sa ganito; kung ganyang klaseng content din ang gagawin nila, wag na nilang pagtangkaan pa,” Biazon said.

Messall’s video has gained 300,000 reactions, 12 million views, and 24,000 comments as of writing.

According to Facebook policy, content that promotes human trafficking, prostitution, escort, or sexual services is prohibited.

As of press time, Facebook has yet to take down the video.

So I guess that means the authorities will be looking for the father of her child for rape and support now?

That YouTube moron was entirely wrong and incredibly stupid.

I am pleasantly surprised they caught this one.  There was, (maybe still is?), a vlogger who labeled himself Trike Patrol who also did this.  He seems to have got away with it for years.

I am NOT victim blaming, but what on earth was the female thinking taking part in such a challenge?  From my limited understanding, the challenge involves 2 strangers acting as a couple for 24 hours.  As this includes night-time, do the participants not wonder what the sleeping arrangements will be?

Again, and I emphasise this, I am not victim blaming in any way - agreeing to take part in such a challenge is foolhardy but doesn't invite being sexually assaulted.

Not sure about Germany, but a lot of western countries, Australia included, have an agreement with PI that once they've done there time in PI they'll be deported back to their country of origin for prosecution.  Double jeopardy?  Yep; I'm fine with it.  Child exploitation laws need to be harsher everywhere.

Good point. Clearly you are not blaming the victim HK.

After watching the video twice my gut feeling is they had an ongoing relationship of some type. My wife says she is his GF or something.

Aprox around 2013, a cebu sexpat in his 40's was a member here, had 3-4 adult live-in GF's, sex video on internet, weapons at home - really made the headlines then. Anyone remember him after he was put behind bars??

Was he deported after x years?

Sorry his name has slipped my shrinking memory card
