Snowy79 Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 All depends what your plans and needs are. City life for your daughter to continue education, medical requirements, hobbies, pass times, likes, dislikes. etc. As for a 2 bed for 2m I'm guessing that's peso then I doubt you will get quality for 2m. Popular places have unpopular prices, live in the sticks and you can buy a cheap shack, move to a city you're starting at about 4.5m for a rabbit hutch in an average area.
stevewool Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I agree with you about the Uk , and as Snowy says you won’t get anything for 2 million worth looking at , but it all depends on where you are wanting to be in the Philippines.
fototek1 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 (edited) For 2 million pounds you can get a great place invite me over, I'd love to see the place. For 2 million Peso you could buy a small piece of land in the province. For some reason, property in the Philippines is more expensive than us westerners would expect. GeoffH Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 With 2 million you're probably better off renting IMO. 3
Popular Post Sailor Jerry Posted March 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 2, 2023 Hi @Johnkalbo just a suggestion, maybe come back, get a nice rental & have a look around for 6 months or even a year and think about your families requirements before buying anything. I’m not recommending Angeles City as it is definitely not for everyone, but for me after living in Hua Hin Thailand awhile I settled here a few years back after buying a new 2 bed condo off the plan earlier at around the P6m mark in a higher end complex as an investment but when it was ready I came here and decided to move in. My partner & I have found ourselves still here as we cannot yet find the most suitable place for us to move too after searching the country for awhile. With the Skyway toll road Manila is 2 hours away even less early morning, we go a bit for overnights or weekends for functions but I couldn’t live there. What does it for me personally here I guess,as a sociable type but not a huge drinker is that there are lots of multi national expat groups here, where many similar likeminded people are for playing golf (8 or 9 courses within an hour drive from AC) a few social golf clubs with regular competitions, swimming, tennis, gyms, hiking, camping, road trips with motorbike or car, 2 good hospitals, RSL Club where you can do volunteering or just become a member and donate for the medical missions along with VFW, Clark airport nearby as we travel a lot both domestically & internationally, a wine club, some decent restaurants, bars, social or girlie usually once a week with pals. We both don’t want to live here forever so awhile ago we made a short list of things we both want & have been going from place to place ever since looking. Two or three couples we know have done it, they’ve actually found their place & are very happy. I know we will find eventually. Hope any of this helps mate, Good luck. 6
Ram1957 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Your best bet is to due some research on Facebook Marketplace on different areas that you are interested in. That will give you an idea on where to start.
Forum Support Old55 Posted March 2, 2023 Forum Support Posted March 2, 2023 As others suggest rent a place for awhile travel around some then decide. Although having your girl in a quality school may require you to be in or close to a larger city. Yes, there are good schools but you must search them out.
